Mercedes W03 Threatening Red Bull and McLaren

Barcelona - Mercedes was recorded as the last team launched a new racing car, W03, in Barcelona, Spain, today (21/2) before the second test session begins. Although only introduced now, "flying hours" race car that will drive Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg did not lose a race car from the other F1 teams.

How come! That is the greatness of tactics made by Mercedes. With filming for promotional packaging, W03 can be shot 100 km / h at Silverstone last weekend despite a worn path length in half. Then, the car jumped the Circuit de Catalunya as far as 200 km during a private test at Jerez in place because they did not participate in the first three days.

Of view, the W03 is not different RB8's flagship Red Bull or Ferrari F2012 with the muzzle rise (trap). However, the nose is very thin with a buffer wing complex.

Team leader Ross W03 Brwan describe a new car as "a clear step forward" from its predecessor, although Mercedes Motorsport boss Norbert Haug admitted there was no radical innovations in its features.

"I believe the W03 car and expect to be successful because everyone has worked very hard to achieve maximum results," said Brawn. Although the design has a distinctive nose, said Brawn, flavors derived from the W03 is an elegant interpretation of current regulations.

At this season, Mercedes hopes to compete in the top three. To fulfill this ambition, in addition to the hard work of the technical team in Brackley, the management team was strengthened. Among others, the presence of Renault's Bob Bell, Aldo Costa Ferrari's former head of design, and Geoff Willis previously in BAR, Williams and Red Bull.
