Rosberg ahold of Day Three at Jerez

Nico Rosberg emerged as the fastest rider on the third day of pre-season test at Jerez Formula 1, Spain, on Thursday, February 9, 2012 local time. In fact, Mercedes GP driver was the only one of nine riders are still riding the car of the 2011 season.

Rosberg sped total of 118 laps and recorded a fastest time of 1 minute trajectory of 17 613 seconds. Second place is occupied Lotus-Renault driver Romain Grosjean, the best track record time of 1 minute 18 419 seconds.

Meanwhile, the flagship Red Bull is also the defending champion, Sebastian Vettel in third, Germany's new young drivers to show off on the third day of a scheduled four-day trial.

McLaren-Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, who also missed the previous two days, Vettel trailed in fourth. While the champion Fernando Alonso Ferrari ranks only seventh.
