Schumi Pesimistic for the Eight Time Champion

Jerez - Michael Schumacher does look pretty good on the second day of testing at the Jerez Circuit, Spain. Nevertheless, the veteran driver was pessimistic in his chances for the title of Formula One (F1) for the eighth time.


Yes, Schumacher was a surprise on the second day to be the fastest driver. However, Schumacher's performance realized in the Brackley-based team that is still left, from the other team and they need time to return to the top.

"Realistic, I think we can get a car champion, just like we did last year. We have to build to get there and I am very confident we can do that in the future. But we need to do it step by step," said Schumacher.



Although aware of the opportunities Mercedes team is still small, but Schumacher promised to give his best for the championship this year. German driver did not want to repeat the mistakes of last year.

"I'm still trying to compete in this championship. Obviously, if we can do it or not, this is something we have to prove," said the former Ferrari driver was reported by the gpupdate, Thursday (02/09/2012).
