Free Practice III GP Australia 2012 | Alonso: Ferrari Must React Quickly

ALBERT PARK - Fernando Alonso insists that Ferrari should be quick to react to the Australian Grand Prix qualifying on Saturday (03.17.12). If not, "Scuderia" will still continue to experience difficult times like the last two seasons.

In the qualifying series premiere Formula 1 2012 season in Albert Park Circuit, Melbourne, Alonso had to settle in at number 12 and failed to penetrate the Q3, after he had a slip in Q2, and is unable to carry on the business recorded the best time because trapped in the gravel. However, the 2005 and 2006 world champion admitted that the F2012 does not promise that the speed could not do better. He did not question the mistakes made.

"If we improve the performance of the car quickly, we could set an important target in this competition, and others. If we do not change quickly, then we certainly cannot do it," said Spanish rider, after qualifying.

"Last year, I was 1.4 seconds adrift of the leader, and this year I closed to within one second when Q2. So, one might say that we are better than last year.

"What happened was we had to change. Last year we left our 1.4 second and ninth victory in the series at Silverstone. Last year, we cannot wait until the ninth series to achieve a victory. We have done it sooner."

Alonso admitted that Ferrari has failed to achieve the target to directly lead to a new car. Therefore, the former Renault and McLaren driver is now confirmed that the team should do their best to rectify the situation.

"Right now we have not too quickly, we are not competitive to compete at the top spot. So, still need to work hard. I believe we've worked for 24 hours before the race, and now we have to work 25 hours - this being one The only way to fix the car and win, "said Alonso, who added that he made a mistake in Q2, and optimistic enough to face the race on Sunday because of the tire.
